The result of 15 years of work by a single developer. Some describe it as a metroidvania but I consider it closer to the side-scrolling Ys 3. There's no "Search action" here, just progressing linearly and fighting stuff.

Astlibra is a refreshingly direct presentation of a solo dev's vision, with a completely unhinged (but followable) plot, and a game loop that caters to one kind of player: the kind that enjoys ARPG grinding and diverse progression systems.

Easily one of my favorite games of all time.
