Upon seeing Super Woden GP II I first exclaimed "Oh this is like Blomby Car!" which I suppose encapsulates the depths of my kusoge corruption.

SWGP2 is anything but kusoge though. I'd describe it as someone taking an old Hot Wheels top-down game and welding a full Gran Turismo career system to it. It's not as in depth, and not as well balanced, but it's a solid effort that keeps racing the same (admittedly pretty large) set of tracks over and over interesting.

There's a variety of options from endurances races, rally, K-cars, GP cars. It all mostly manifests in the same isometric engine and confusing tank controls. You get used to them though; then the speed rumps up and you have to get used to them again. Around the 2/3rd point, you're going too fast to react to turns; you have to memorize tracks and watch the minimap.

Later on it becomes a grind-fest. Definitely one of those games I recommend just hopping off when you've had enough and maybe coming back later. Also turn the difficulty to Easy; trust me.
