What's Going On

This is a simple page following the /now page format to give a quick rundown of things I'm focusing on or doing. It's more for myself as a focusing aid but also can be useful to check out to see what I'm streaming, working on, playing, reading, etc.

📡 Streaming: Quest: Brian's Journey

I liked Quest 64, despite popular opinion. I hear the GameBoy Color Quest game is quite different and possibly even a bit better. So I'm going to check that out and see how it is.

I got about half way done in one sitting; then had to stop and grind because you don't get HP unless you take damage and hit things with your staff, hah.

🎮 Playing: Lunacid

This has been a favorite of multiple friends for awhile and I finally decided to dive into it myself. It's a trippy Kings Field like game with modern design principles and a creepy 90s horror aesthetic. I dig it so far. I'm currently wandering around the areas connected to Sanguine Lake.

⏱️ Speedrunning: A Single Fallen Feather (paused)

An OHRRPGCE game where you build a party of four harpies of varying classes and go save the world. Very Final Fantasy, very short and cute. I have a 2 hour speedrun in it right now and can probably trim some more off that with some better execution.

The developer is dropping hints that a remastered version is coming so this is somewhat on hold; or at least not entirely seriously focused on right now til I learn more.

It's my intent to have this as a submission to RPG Limit Break 2027.

🗓️ Event: Big Bad Game-a-thon 2026

BBG 2026 is coming. It's a weekend long speedrun marathon of jank/kusoge/bakage that's been running for 10 years now. I have some setup and chair-person work to do for that, on top of preparing a special secret run to submit for it. The event is going to run off my tech stack for video handling and I'm pretty much de facto in charge of it now and days.

We're reviewing runs through the first couple weeks of August, with plans to put a schedule out around the first of September.

🔭 Seeking: New Streamers to Raid/Watch

Kind of an ongoing thing. I need find some new people to raid when I typically end my streams (23:00 - 25:00 Pacific US Time). I'm seeking chill queer or queer-friendly folks who play downtempo cozy games at least a chunk of the time, who have no loud alerts. Preferably small streamers, preferably RPG or adventure game focused. Definitely some retro/older stuff.

I used to have a lot of this but a lot of those folks either moved time slots or moved on from streaming.
